clifton seniors association
The next meeting
of the Clifton Seniors Association will be Tuesday, Nov. 18 at the Boys & Girls Club. Refreshments will be served from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The business meeting begins at 1 p.m. A turkey raffle will be held. Robert Cottle, Jr. from Fall Prevention and Rehabilitation in West Orange and Passaic will be the guest speaker. He will speak on the Center’s programs.
No meeting will be held in December. The next meeting will be Jan. 20, 2009.
Upcoming events: Dec. 3 – Christmas dinner dance at the Brownstone from noon to 4 p.m. Peter Lieberman will provide the music and there will be an hour open bar. Young at Heart
The Young at
Heart Social Club meets the first and third Tuesday of the month at the fellowship hall of the First Presbyterian Church on Maplewood Avenue at 12:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. New members are welcome to join. You do not need to be a parishioner of the church.
The next meeting will be Nov. 18 and will include Christmas traditions, a lecture with slides by James Gardner, "Time Machine Talks."
The annual Christmas party will be held on Monday Dec. 8. Dues are to be paid in the beginning of the year.

The Senior Wheels
USA program makes available power (electric) wheelchairs to senior citizens (65 years old and up) and the permanently disabled at no cost to the recipient, if they qualify.
The power wheelchairs are provided to those who cannot walk and cannot self-propel a manual wheelchair and who meet the additional guidelines of the program. No deposit is required.
