clifton seniors association
The next meeting
of the Clifton Seniors Association will be Tuesday, Nov. 18 at the Boys & Girls Club. Refreshments will be served from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The business meeting begins at 1 p.m. A turkey raffle will be held. Robert Cottle, Jr. from Fall Prevention and Rehabilitation in West Orange and Passaic will be the guest speaker. He will speak on the Center’s programs.
No meeting will be held in December. The next meeting will be Jan. 20, 2009.

Young at Heart
The Young at
Heart Social Club meets the first and third Tuesday of the month at the fellowship hall of the First Presbyterian Church on Maplewood Avenue at 12:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. New members are welcome to join. The next meeting will be Nov. 18 and will include Christmas traditions, a lecture with slides by James Gardner, "Time Machine Talks."
The annual Christmas party will be held on Monday Dec. 8. Dues are to be paid in the beginning of the year.

The Roche Retiree club’s next meeting will be Saturday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. in building 77 (frequently called the chapel) at 340 Kingsland Ave., Nutley. Parking is available in the lot next to the building. After a short meeting Mike Heaphy accompanied by Lester Wilson will present a country western music show. There will be refreshments and time to talk to old friends after the show.

The Senior Wheels
USA program makes available power (electric) wheelchairs to senior citizens (65 years old and up) and the permanently disabled at no cost to the recipient, if they qualify.
The power wheelchairs are provided to those who cannot walk and cannot self-propel a manual wheelchair and who meet the additional guidelines of the program. No deposit is required.
