Great workers
My wife and I would like to thank and commend Giuseppe Mannina and the tree trimming crew of the DPW for doing an outstanding job of trimming the tree in front of our house on Madison Avenue.
Before they left they were sure the area was clean.  A job well done.

Enforce helmet laws
On any given day in City of Clifton you can take notice of all the kids riding bicycles, skateboards, scooters who do not wear helmets.
It is a New Jersey state law that anyone under the age of 17 must wear a helmet!
If the parents do not care and City does not care, but I sure do. God forbid, but if one of these kids gets injured and sues the city, the state or becomes handicapped for the rest of his or her life and cannot afford health care services, then all of us must pay for this through our tax dollars.
The law was created to protect the kids and the citizens. I wish I would see more helmets out there. I’m a parent and I have spent a lot of money protecting my kids.

Blame game
Let's play the Clifton Board of Education Blame Game. Who will they blame next? Spin the wheel and let's see where it lands. Will it land on The Zoning Board? The City Council? The Planning Board? The State? Senior Citizens? George Bush? Parents? Sarah Palin? Boy, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Talking points
The Right Wingers in the form of the Clifton Journal must have had a meeting and listened to Rush Limbaugh get their talking points about the blame for the economic crisis belonging to guess who? The Democrats.
It was all those bad loans the Democrats forced the banks and the mortgage companies to give to unqualified applicants. It was Obama’s buddies that pushed for bad mortgages. When Obama was a community organizer, Joseph Sidor states, he intimidated banks into making loans to customers with poor credit. This is a new low for asinine statements even from Sidor. Fred Rembis states that both parties are to blame not just Bush and the Republicans. Fred better watch out or he might be drummed out of the never-take-the-blame-for-anything club headed by national leader don’t-blame-me George W. Bush. Wasn’t it Bush who pushed so hard to make this country the ownership society?
9-11 no WMDs in Iraq, no capture of bin Ladin, Katrina, Taliban resurgence, torture, 4,300 dead in Iraq? Don’t blame George.
