House of cards
A pox on both their houses. On Monday, our representatives in Washington on both sides of the aisle couldn't stop squabbling with each other and blaming each other long enough to put our interests first for a change and do anything to stem the impending financial panic and collapse for which they are in large part responsible. But ultimately it's Nancy Pelosi and her Democrat-controlled House of Representatives that have failed us.
As a matter of principle and a show of no confidence, we should vote out all incumbents in the House. And, remember, that while Barrack Obama was down in some Florida resort at Debate Camp doing whatever was necessary to get elected, John McCain was in Washington doing whatever was necessary to protect us from financial Armageddon.

It’s about race
The results of a recent Time magazine poll indicate that 41 percent of white women expect to vote for Barack Obama and 55 percent of white women for John McCain. Apparently, white women had given some thought to the issues and split their choice in accordance with their conscience. In the same poll, 89 percent of black women expect to vote for Obama and 7 percent for McCain. Obviously, color, not issues, was the predominate factor in the choice by black women. There was no comment by Time about these results.
Will race have an impact in this election? You tell me. Give me a break.

Schools not working
Thousands of our dollars are flying out open windows in the dead of winter at the high school. Tens of thousand of dollars worth of computers are being thrown out in the garbage. Millions of dollars are being wasted on a school we no longer need.
Well, we really can't expect our educational elite to properly manage money and educate our kids at the same time, can we? The problem is they can't even properly educate our kids. Don't believe me? I don't expect you to. But I do expect you to check out our state ranking as measured by the NJDOE at their Web site or at psk12.com.

Talking trash
I’d like to thank the Clifton Recycling Department for their ability to not get off that recycle trash truck that they drive and hold up traffic for 15 minutes while they backed up about 20 feet to get recyclables from each house when they could have pulled over and cleared traffic. It would have been nice but they didn’t do that. You know what I got a big f---you from the guy hanging off the back of the truck picking up the recyclables from Clifton recycling. The guy never got off the back of the truck. The guy on the other side of the truck got off. He didn’t have to get off because there was no recyclables on his side? He could have gotten off and helped his partner out instead of holding up the traffic. No they didn’t do that. This is where our tax money is going to. As a taxpayer and getting an f—you from a city worker. I am calling the Clifton Department of Public Works to complain about it, but this is so everybody else in the town knows also.

Puzzle slants to left
I’m calling about the crossword puzzles that are being published recently. Most of us who like to solve them are looking for entertainment, but the last couple of times they all carry a political message fostering the Democrat point of view. I don’t think this is fair. The latest one for today, for example, read the only thing older than joke about John McCain’s age is John McCain. That may be funny to some people, but why is age being brought up again by the writer of this crossword puzzle? It’s a Democrat plot and I think it should be stopped.

Say no to McCain
After watching the first presidential debate I am thoroughly convinced that John McCain is a cranky, stodgy, ignorant, arrogant, petty, vicious, nasty, dimwitted, half-senile old coot who is out of touch with anyone who is in any way a progressive thinker.
This neo-conservative Neanderthal and that moronic cave woman running mate of his will lead this country down the same loosing path with the same failing policies that made George W. Bush the lowest rated president in American History.
Don’t let this shriveled simpleton’s macho bravado fool you. He is in no way the maverick that he egotistically claims to be. He is just another idiotic right-winger who is politically committed to making the rich richer and the poor poorer and putting the worst burden of all on the struggling middle class.
I reiterate that good soldiers make obedient killers not good statesman. Quite frankly I for one think that the world would have been better off if this baby killer had died in the Vietnamese POW camp. I say good riddance to bad rubbish. If this had been the case then thousands of young American lives would not be put in unnecessary harms way in order to cover up for the lies, corruption and incompetence of the previous Republican administration.
To put it simply – McCain is a stupid, fascist pig and so is anyone who is dumb enough to vote for him. For a nation full of Christians who supposedly worship the Prince of Peace and the God of love – you bloodthirsty hypocritical numbskulls sure do support violent and destructive military aggression as the answer to all the country’s ills. When in fact it is that kind of militaristic philosophy that has reduced us to a second rate nation that can afford lucrative defense contracts and tax breaks for the rich but not decent health care for its own citizens. Our government should be more than puppets for the military industrial complex. No drilling, no nukes, no war, no McCain.
